Your throttle cable is the main connection you have from the gas pedal to the throttle body. Do you have hesitation or delayed pedal response? Think of when you are sitting at a stop light or making a turn into a flow of traffic, you may not realize it but if you haven’t replaced your throttle cable and bushings this will require you to apply pressure to the gas pedal before getting feedback which can cause slow starts at stop lights and put you in danger when merging in traffic. Symptoms to look for: lackluster/sloppy throttle actuation, deformed throttle cable appearance, and bushing condition. Your throttle cable bushings can be soft, cracked or even disintegrated by now.
